Lady Gaga Urges Fans To Wear Masks With ‘Chromatica’-Themed Covering

Lady Gaga took to Instagram on Friday (July 3) to urge fans to wear a mask to stay safe amid the coronavirus pandemic. The singer posted a selfie that featured a Chromatica-themed covering, with spikes and chains in place.

“Be yourself, but wear a mask!” the “Rain on Me” singer wrote alongside the picture. “I believe in being kind to yourself, the community, and the planet. I challenge my awesome friends to show off their mask game!”

Gaga also tagged some of her “awesome friends,” challenging them to also “show off their mask game,” including former President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Ariana Grande and Tony Bennett.

Bennett took up the challenge and posted a selfie wearing a large white mask, and wrote, “We #kindlymask for all our loved ones, both at home and all around the world. We encourage you to share why you wear a mask.”

While promoting the release of her Chromatica album, Gaga posted a picture of herself donning a pink mask that was embroidered with pointy spikes.
